When Simon decides to ask his girlfriend to marry him, he learns that things about her are not as they seem. Dinner with her dad leaves Simon questioning if he can truly love and give up some of his beliefs.
This film was so much fun to make. When I first read the script, I knew that this was what I wanted to make. I was able to sit down with TJ Barrow (the writer) and our producer, Jeremy Diller, and through our vision and the help with our professor, David S. Ward (The Sting), and production class, we were able to create a story that was very funny.
Once we decided who our cast would be, Joel Bennett, Trevor Anthony, Juliette Storace, and Joanie Marx, and our crew signed on, we had a lot of fun filming this.
It took Joel two hours to get into makeup. Our makeup artist, Abby Lyle, did a terrific job. MUD, a makeup artist school located in Burbank, CA, donated all of the makeup supplies and horns. A huge thanks to them.
(Joel Bennett as Lucifer)
We shot this in San Juan Capistrano in a house that was completely empty and available for use. It was also donated by Tim Kashani.
We shot this film in 6 days, over two weekends in February/March, 2006. The cast and crew did a phenomenal job. Due to some technical difficulties, the film is just now being completed in November, 2007.
(Joanie Marx and Anthony Trevor fight off Lucifer)
The music by Stephen Viens, is creative and adds to the humor of this film. He was able to use very old music, with a dynamic twist, all from his own "orchestra."
(Anthony Trevor and Juliette Storace).
The end result is a film that asks a person, what would you do if you found out who your future in-laws are? Enjoy!
